Can you identify these prints?

The coop is under construction, and have never had birds in the coop, but something is curious. A few days later I found more prints in the same spot. The print is approximately 1 3/4" wide.

Doubt its racoon these tracks are smeared but all appear to have 4 toes, coon have 5 toes. It looks like canine or feline to me, fox, bobcat, coyote most likely. Possibly smaller domestic dog. See if you can find any better defined tracks in the mud or set up a trail camera or live trap

I was going to say we don't have possums here, but I just checked and I guess we actually do.
I did let a raccoon out of my window well last spring so I know they have visited.
I've also seen a fox near by, and cats are always possible. But dogs shouldn't be a problem, as the back yard is fully fenced.

I guess I had better buy a trap!

Opossum also have 5 toes, one which is very similar to a large thumb. There are many websites which shows very good drawings of different animal tracks. I would go off the print on the lower left of your picture as it is the most well defined.
