Can you identify this chicken gadget?

I found this gadget of comb like spikes while cleaning out my 89 yr. old mother's kitchen. What does it do?

I believe it is called a "Hold 'N Slice". I think they are used for slicing vegetables. The prongs are pushed into the vegetable and you hold the top (the part above the chicken picture, I think) with one hand and you use the other hand to cut between the spikes. I think its purpose is to protect your fingers from getting cut because you are using the tool to position the vegetable instead of holding it with your hand. I think it also helps get even-sized slices?

I'm not too familiar with this tool. I only found out about it by searching Bing.com with the picture you shared. I didn't read a lot about it, but it seems pretty simple.

Hope this helps! :D
