Can you incubate during the fall? is it worth it?

Yes you can. It's worth it if you know your incubator well.

You can hatch eggs any time of the year. The biggest difference between hatching in the fall is how they chicks are raised. If you live somewhere where it gets cold in the winter, the chicks will need to be kept warm indoors with a heat source for longer. The upside is they will be mature and ready to lay come spring.

I hatch or buy all my chicks in the fall and winter now simply because by late spring and summer they’re laying already. I have 10 golden comet chicks now that’ll be laying in about 16 weeks from now.

If you hatch in the fall they should be laying eggs in the spring, so it would be worth it to me.
