Can you keep chickens and goats in the same pen?

Can I use a barn stall to keep both chicken's and goats? The stall is completely enclosed in chicken wire and is connected to a small outdoor pen. Right now, I use the deep litter method for the chickens in the stall, and I'd like to add a couple of goats. Will they expose each other to nasty health effects?
