I bought some hens from farm aution. None of them have layed any eggs. Are they too old or what?

Could be too old or too young, or still stressed from the move/change, or it's just that time of year, etc.

Can you post some pics? I'm sure there are some chicken gurus here that could help you figure it out.

well, they look older than the 6 mo. old I have. I brought these ones home about 4 weeks ago. I also have 3 roosters, if that could cause problems too?

Create an account at a photo hosting site (I use photobucket.com)

Then upload your pics there and resize for forum and then use the IMG link to paste into your post.

if that is a picture oif one of them .it looks like they are molting.they will not lay much until they are done.

My dh and I have 3 of those chickens-they are ISA Browns. One is layin galready and the other two still are not. They are around 17 weeks old. I have been told that you just have to be patient with them.....We get an egg pretty much every day from the one that is laying-a deep brown egg. Good Luck! This link might help you learn a little about them.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISA_Brown
