Hello! I'm new to raising baby chicks. I started with 2 very playful Rhode Island reds. Their names are Ginger and Reggie. They were the same size when I got them at 2 days old, but Reggie has by far outgrown Ginger. Not sure if Reggie is ahead of the game, or if Ginger is just behind. The lady I got them from was not sure if they were boys or girls, so I took my chances. I am of course hoping for 2 girls, but if I end up with one of each, that's ok too. I would just be beside myself if they both turned out to be boys, as I have grown quite attached to both of them. My dog Maggie thinks shes their mama, and when we go outside for yard time, they follow her around like mama. They are almost 3 weeks old, and Reggie being so much bigger than Ginger I am thinking he might be a boy. Here are a few pictures of my babies.

It's too early to say with confidence, but I wouldn't be surprised if you have a male and a female. Post again around 6-8 weeks, it should be apparent then.
