can you use the eggs layed without a shell?

I would use them only if they are really clean and only for baking or hardboiled.

All kinds of bacteria can easily penetrate membrane with no shell protection.

Metzer farm give all their damaged eggs to a homeless shelter. This shows that there is no issue with it. I would not eat them raw either, but you can use them in scrambled eggs etc. I would discard dirty ones.

I quote:
"With the number of duck eggs we produce, we also have quite a few cracked eggs. Most are given to a local soup kitchen for the homeless but in our home we use cracked duck eggs for everything. Oh yes, this is another advantage of duck eggs. As the shell membrane is so strong, the shell can be broken and no egg leaks out! "
