I have 26 white leghorns in a 16'deep x 4' wide tractor and they are starting to pick at each others tails and there is some bleeding. Are these guys known for this? They seem constantly restless even with a full feeder and fresh grass. The tractor IMO is huge for them and they are 2 weeks old.

it doesnt sound like they are bored maybe it just pecking order being established ive got 28 in the same pen and they do it all day even with grass and food present and sometimes it gets a bit bloody but hopefully soon they will work it out they have been doing this for about 3 weeks and they are 13wks now

Ya I am not going to worry about it if they decide they taste better than the feed there is not much arguing with them.
