My neighbor set eggs 7 days ago. I was helping her candle, and frankly, I thought they did not look like they were developing. This was one egg I saw that looked kind of weird though, I'd love to know what the experts thought.

One side of the egg:

Same egg, other side:

This is a different egg. Is this a bacterial ring?

The first egg looks like it's growing something. I'm not sure about the vein circle. Maybe wait a few more days. The other one doesn't look like there's anything there.

I didn't see any real veining though- It seems like all of the "good" eggs I've candled (which admittedly isn't much) had quite the spiderweb by day 7.

Looks like a blood ring. At day 7 you should see veining and a swimmer in there.

I've had embryos that died that kinda looked like that.

By day 7, you should see good veining and a small blob that's moving or a heartbeat. But if your not sure if they are growing hold on to them a little longer, until you are sure.
