candled egg shows red before incubating

Why would a shipped egg look bright red when candled?

Perhaps it had already started to incubate before shipping or during if warm in transit. Maybe it got "scrambled" inside from too much rough handling along the way. Do all the eggs appear that way or just the one ?

I went ahead and put it in the incubator and it broke. full of what looked like mop water,no yolk.
