What I use is one of my brooder lamps, just turn it brim side up...I put a 100 watt bulb in it and found a frisbee at the dollar store....cover the frisbee with black tape and made a circle hole in the middle of it...taped it all onto my brooder lamp and clamp it on the kitchen counters when I need to candle works like a dream..I turn the light on, candle an egg and then off so I don't cook my eggs or tape....make sure you have your lights all off whatever room your in and keep a flashlight close by to help see to pick up your eggs and turn them....I also have just a small mag lite and that works well too but like the brooder lamp better for brown eggs...
