Candling eggs: Is it the same for chickens and ducks?

I've found some pretty good web sites with photos of candled eggs. The thing is - they're chickens. Can I apply that info to duck eggs?

What specific info?
I'm pretty sure duck eggs develop slower than chicken eggs, because the gestation for duck eggs is 28 days, and for chickens it's 21.
