I finally found a good tool to candle guinea eggs--- it's a small LED flashlight which is 115 lumens bright. I candled my guinea eggs at day 11 last night and clearly saw heartbeats in 17 out of 18 eggs. The 18th was clear/infertile.
The brand of the flashlight is Coleman and I got it at Walmart. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting to candle guinea or other hard-to-candle eggs.
