All I've been able to tell is wether there's a blob or not lol. I could easily tell the clears from the others but that's it theyre so dark all I can see is the blobs getting bigger. Not veins or much of anything else. Is this normal?

I tried to candled my marans egg and my other colored/tinted eggs using the smartphone flashlight app which was very bright and concentrated, but I still couldn't see through

CANDLE EGGS
DAY 1

Always wash hands before handling eggs.
The shell of an egg is thin and opaque when held near a bright light. The easiest type of egg to candle is the white shelled egg and some of the hardest eggs to candle are dark brown eggs, like the Maran eggs pictured below.

You could try two or more flashlights to see into them!
