Candling turkey eggs!! Exciting

In about 2 hours I will be candling our turkey eggs and hopefully the 2 turkey eggs that are heading into lockdown are good and progressing. I am oh so excited!!!
We never planned on trying to hatch turkey eggs, but why not? Hoping-hoping.
Thanks to everyone for all the encouragement, we had so little hope that the broad breasted bronze would breed naturally. Thank you.

The 2 turkey eggs going into lockdown are looking dark, yay!!!
Candles the others, only about half are looking promising and I'll keep those 10 in there for a few more days till the next batch goes in.
Broody turkey hen sitting on a clutch of chicken eggs, had to dig out her eggs from under her, she wasn't mean but she didn't like it.
First batch of turkey eggs ever... Kids are so Eee! Excited. So excited.
We get to see soon whose the daddy, lol.

Cold FALL/WINTER night, had some Flux on the temp & humidity on the incubator. Raised the temp one degree as the day warms up I may need to drop that back down. I dislike adding too much water to the incubator during this time. Once that first chick hatches in our Styrofoam incubator and egg shells collect water the humidity raises at least 10%, so I like to stick as close to 55% as possible. If the humidity is 65% when that first chick hatches... too much. Could prevent others from hatching.
I love that we can hatch but wish I had the hatch/ production room at the zoo kinda set up. Not really some of their set up look primitive.

How did things look hope your turkey eggs are developing on schedule.

We have chirping & pip on one egg so far they went into incubator on Sept 29th. Yay!!!
