Candling ..... What to expect?

I put two eggs in the bator sunday to see if they were fertilized. I Just candled one egg and didn't see too much. Not sure what to expect. I saw the yoke at top with what looked like a few vessels on top of yoke. Nothing in center of egg. I decided to break it open and take a look. Saw a very small red spot that looked like vessels. Should I be seeing more or is this correct. Looking for advice since I don't want to start collecting eggs if they aren't fertile yet. Thanks for your help.

If there were vessels, there was an embryo forming. If your candling skills are still under development, wait until day 7. Save this link!
