Brood hen hatch, first chick on Saturday, then one on Sunday and another when we woke up Monday. No action since then (now Wednesday morning).
Took the remaining eggs up today to candle them. I see solid black with very large air cells on one end, much like day 18 pics on this thread .
Unfortunately one egg got mixed in and is now about half developed, can't decide which picture it looks like, basically a free floating yolk but with lots of veining. I doubt she will set it for another 10 days with 3 new babies to look after.
The eggs that look like day 18 though... how do I know if they are going to hatch or if they are dead? Just leave them under her?
At some point I have to remove them, right?
