Hi all hoping for any advice
And following on from my previous post with very helpful advice but things have progressed
My silkie has been on Metronidazole for 3 weeks now, her canker has improved but she has canker either side of her lower beak, on top of this she’s now got a respiratory infection. She’s lost a massive amount of weight and I don’t think she’s going to survive this
She was at the vet last week and the vet suggested we try iodine on the sores unfortunately this resulted in a massive bleed for which she had to be aneathhistised so they could stop the bleeding, my vet said the canker had ulcerated on a blood vessel.
The Metronidazole doesn’t seem to be doing anything now , and today she’s had a clicking in her chest , both cankers have also bled today , could the cankers not be cankers could it be anything else ? Her mouth does not smell at all
Is there anything else I can try ? What other conditions present the same as canker
