Canker

I need to treat my boy fast but I don't know where to get canker treatment. Do I need a prescription? I don't think I can wait days to get him treated. Somebody gave me three different medications to look for and one of them came in a fish form or something like that. Does anybody have a link that would be at least one day overnight delivery something like that

Unless you see a vet for a prescription, you may need to be patient for online medications to be sent to you. Canker can be treated with metronidazole (fish Zole, aquazole,) which is hard to get due to FDA regulations. Ronidazole may be found on pigeon sites. Many use acidified copper sulfate 1/4 tsp in each gallon of water for 5 days. Can you get a picture of what you see inside the beak, and is there a bad odor?

It smells putrid!

Be sure to disinfect all feeders and waterers, and separate the chicken with canker.

I really cannot determine a dosage for you. The product you have is 3 1/2 times as strong as the one from Amazon if that helps. The one from Amazon is 1 tsp per quart of water.

Ok well what's 20%? I have that coming from another distributor. I couldn't find it on Amazon.

I have this for my goats. Is this what your talking about? If so, what's the dose?

I had to look up the product you posted about in post 6. It has 70% metronidazole. That is what you have for goats. I posted about several different treatments for canker that I am aware of. If you read the links it tell you how much to use in the directions. I would re-read my posts 2 and 3 above, and decide which one to use. Those links to medicines all give the dosage. I can’ t give dosage on your goat product.
