Hello everyone, my wife and I are new to this, as I guess most new members are. We started with some RIR, back in June, but we suffered a horrific lost with 5 or our 6 pullets. After we recovered from that we picked up 5 Isa brown chicks and 3 more RHR. I wouldn't have thought you could become so attached to chickens, they are a joy to have and raise. So for everything is doing fine. We have used this site so much that I thought it was time we joined the group.

Greetings from Texas! Like many others, you lurked before you joined. Glad you did. We also get attached to each and every one of our girls, and it is always difficult when one or more gets lost to a predator. Ours are free range girls, and they agree that they would rather take risks than being cooped up. Good luck with your flock.
