Canned Sweet peas?

Can i feed my girls and rooster canned sweet peas? i have a bunch of cans, i hate peas and refuse to eat them. I was thinking that its hot out, rinsing them off and putting them and some water in a bowl and freezing it then setting it out for them. Would that be a ok thing to do? Thank you for any feed back and info!

I have used frozen peas to put in ice blocks. I don't see why you couldn't do that with canned peas. I only put about 1/2 c of peas in the container (plastic shoe box) before freezing.
