My 9 big girls will have none of my younger 4 month old little silkie and frizzle girls. I have tried everything, including hanging out at free range time, a mini coop for them within the coop, and items to escape behind. This past weekend I tried again, only to find my frizzle bloody and almost pecked to death. She lived, but I don't think she will next time. My silkie looks more like a normal chicken and didn't get pecked really at all. Is this because my frizzle looks so weird?? I am going to order another small coop because I want them out of my garage but cannot bare to see them bullied:( any last advice??

Integration of birds into a flock can be difficult. It becomes more difficult when the new birds are smaller and more 'different'. Smaller birds when raised with large birds can do quite well and may even be at the top of the pecking order. Integrating them is far more difficult. I think getting them their own coop is the safest move. Good luck.
