So I got hatching eggs from a local farm, assorted breeds - we wanted a surprise when they hatched so the kids could figure out what breed the chicks are. We were able to easily identify the light & buff Brahmas, Amerucauna, Copper Maran, and dark Silkie... but this little cutie evades identification! Any idea what she might be??

She's got 4 toes, feathered shanks, reddish brown fluff with yellowish down on her belly. (I'm just guessing this one is female, she's much smaller than even the Silkie chick that hatched a day later!) She's currently 4 days old. Thanks in advance! :jumpy

PS - Sorry, she's really hoppy & spicy, I had to hold her for the pic!

Possibly a partridge cochin.

It's possible this one is a mix, or a bantam... she's awfully little. The farm I got the eggs from has pure breed enclosures, as well as a mixed flock, so I think the others may be pure. It's hard to say until they grow a bit! 🤣
Oh if they keep them together by breed you should be good then! This particular chick is a mix though. She's cute! Update us once she's feathered out.
