I do have a question about using DE. If I want some for a dust bath, how much would I need to supply them with that, plus how much do you add to thier food, etc. I only have 5 full size hens.

Look at your local pool supply dealer. They use it for the filters and you can get it for less there normally. BWI Supplier carries it as well. Sorry I don't know there addy, but I am sure you can google them for that.

Pool filter DE is poison!!!


You must only use food grade DE "Codex Grade Fossil Shell Flour"!!!!!!!!

I am editing to add -


You cannot use pool grade DE, it is so chemically altered to work for pools that it is not even DE really. If you look at the back wash for a pool you will see everything in the wash area is DEAD. It is poison!

Make sure you get the food grade DE. I only trust the PermaGuard brand!
