can't find three ducklings for under $40.00 including shipping!! So frustrated!!! Anybody in New Mexico want to go in on an order??

Try craigslist to find people interested in splitting an order. That's how I got my first ducks and it worked great. I just posted in farm & garden, with a price (based on the price list from the hatchery I decided to order from). I listed in my post the website of the hatchery so everyone could see what was available, and offered to accept payment at the time of delivery (although you might want to receive payment up front--it's up to you). It worked great for me. In fact, the other folks actually pitched in and each gave me a buck or two extra for my trouble, so that I ended up getting back a portion of what I spent on my ducks.

If it INCLUDES shipping, that is not bad. I could not find any call ducks in my area or anyone close to ship live birds. Ended up paying $100.00 for six ducks and most of that was shipping.

Try to find someone to split the order with you. The same thing happened to me when I first wanted ducks. I only wanted a couple, but ended up ordering 10. Also, if you have to order 10, you can try selling them once you get them.
