SO ... lockdown began just over a day and a half ago, i had to guess accodring to candeling becasue .... i can't rememebr when the eggs were set! ANYWAY .. just popped out and decided to candle them to checkthe air sacs ... and 3/4 have dark bits inside them, i'm guessing the beak and one egg when lifted chirpped rather loudly and moved about !
I'm going mad here now because i don't know what day i am on, there are no signs of pipping and i'm actually just very fed up! ... going to set another 16 eggs in the next few days .. hopefuly i can sell the chicks closer to summer because my boss cut all the shifts and i am only part time (full time student) so during summer looks like i'll have little work ... so little money.... SOOOOO i have decided .. to sell the chicks !
Can't remember when eggs set! *still waiting *
for the past 2 or 3 days the eggs have not been turned in the incubator . We have suffered a family death and therefore my mind has been allover the place.Totally forgot how long they have been in the incubator. I believe it is between 1 week - near 2 weeks but when candled tonight. Clear movement was seen with blck spots and blood vesells. Is it too late now to keep rotating. Is the damage done? There was one egg with a clear ring of blood so i threw it away. I feel terible!
**The eggs when candeled show pretty much all black now and a clear air cell, 4 out of 5 have developed this far. I decoded to stop turning last night so let's hope for a hatch in the next day or two **
