Can't seem to keep chicken water clean- will it contaminate eggs?

I use 5 gallon bucket horizontal nipples all my birds as long as older than 5 days can drink from them put a lid on it no crap in it but put something like a bucket of oyster shell on it so they do not roost on it either

Haha duck person here... I pretty sure it won't affect the eggs, because if it did no one would go near a duck egg! Those nasties are always getting in the nastiest water around; the muckier, the better! Just try keeping duck water clean...

Oh lord, for real!! I swear they put as much mud in the water as they make outside of it. (Pretending it's only mud and nothing else. )
