I live in Greenville SC area and have not raised chickens in cooler weather. Are there additional considerations when considering breeds for a small coop (probably 6 birds) when we have relatively mild winters?

What type of small coop are you looking at?
What breeds are you considering?
I think you should be fine choosing most breeds for your location. Birds should have protection from the wind in the winter, but good ventilation.
I don't want to dismiss winter for sure, you never know when a cold spell is coming, but summer heat is a big concern. Shade is essential.
