Hello all, I'm looking for advice , previous experience, any ideas etc.
I have a 4 year old Silkie showing what I believe is a Marek's disease symptoms( we had one case earlier on in March this year)
She has been lame on one leg for 3mc now.
Her foot does not grasp and appears dead from a "knee" down. Hip appears not affected.
I have been close to dispatching her but she shows some improvement in sense that she continues to now master ability to move about, she has a good appetite, generally curious and chatty, put on weight and just last week started to lay eggs again.
So, what should I do? Has anyone else had similar experience?
Thank you

I would say if she walks ok and is eating drinking and pooping ok let her be. Animals are not hung up about disability like us Hoomans are. As long as no one is picking on her and she is getting along ok give her a chance.

Good luck ♥️
