Hi! Is it normal that my muscovy duck with one year and two months has hardly any caruncles?
They seems to make an effort to go out, but they never come out, and they are orange, so I thought it might be anemia, but she eats very well.
What do you think?

Thanksss!

Beautiful hen! From what I’ve heard, different strains of Muscovies vary in the amount of caruncles that they have. Is your hen laying? Mine tend to have caruncles that are that color in the winter months when not laying, but their caruncles become bright red during the laying season.
