Cary, NC unexpected voted to table the ordinance vote due to new concerns from a council member who had previously supported the ordinance. She is now worried about the neighbors of chickens. To help address her concerns, I'm hoping to get anyone who lives next to chickens to send an email to the Cary council with their experiences. The ordinance will go before council again in 2 weeks (Aug 23) and I'm hoping to provide my council with enough stories and comments from various neighbors, so that their fears are put to rest and so that they can pass the proposed ordinance, which was a good compromise.
If you have chickens, please contact your neighbors and see if they would be willing to send an email to [email protected] and share their opinion about what it is like living next to chickens.
