cat caught sleepin' on the job

Usually Louie my cat is watching over the girls but today he was caught sleeping on the job by Petunia my bantam buff brahma.....

So cute! Has he always been good with the chickens? I have a male 1 year old who is quite the wild bird killer. I am really working on him with my flock. When I am outside, no problem, but if he sneaks out without me, he starts stalking and tries to pounce - I come screaming, making noise and squirting with a hose. Good thing I have my dog Belle and the rooster out there, or my girls would have been goners... or at least one of them...

he has always been a perfect gentleman. He is also just a year old and will go after wild birds but has never shown any interest in going after my chicks. I still always keep my eye on him cuz you just never know but I feel very comfortable leaving him around them when I am outside.

I had let them in there to sleep because my mom was still hoping they would chose a different home and did not want them in the house but they where so cute and it was chilly that night so I put them in and they thought it was a wonderful place to sleep, silly kittys
