Cat food for chickens?

I have a few hens that are molting and do not have all their feathers. Would it be okay to give them some cat food as a treat to help them grow their feathers back?

A small amount of cat food to boost their protein will help there feathers grow. So will egg,meat and feather fixer.

As with most anything it would be just fine as a treat.
The higher protein will be much appreciated.
