My birds prefer to eat the cats chow over their own chicken feed. Just wondering if this is advisable or not. They have their own feed around the barn but prefer to come up to the house and rob the cats Purena. Thanks for any comments.

I know nothing about cat food. I don't have cats. I have three chicken coops & when I let them out they run over to each others coops & eat each others food. Guess, they think I'm giving the other chickens better food. LOL!! Who knows! I wouldn't leave the cat food out for the chickens to eat not only because of health reasons but you could possibly be attracting predators to come for the cat food as well.

While a little won't hurt them, alot could. I know it is high in salt which makes it bad for chickens.
