I have an opportunity to buy a used 8' round, 2' high cattle trough. The problem I see is that it was previously sealed with paint on "Flex Seal". It's a rubbery sealer used to seal leaks. The trough doesn't have any leaks, but it was used as a hot tub (LOL!). I can have the deck surround for it too, if I want it.
I sent an email to flex seal asking about toxicity, but I'm wondering if you would let your Ducks swim in this container.
TIA!

Here is their response;

Hello Bob ,

Thank you for reaching out to Flex Seal Customer Service.

Many of our customers have used Flex Seal Liquid for pond applications with mixed results. We would not recommend using it on a pond, if there is a chance the animal could pick at the product, and it is ingested.

If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to contact Flex Seal Customer service.

Have a Great Day!
