Cayuga Ducks Dying - HELP!

Ducklings need more protein and more niacin than chicks, and they need more protein and niacin than layer feed provides.

Your poor cayaguas have niacin deficiency, Please immediately start them on Durvet High level Vitamin B complex. Your ducklings each need 1ml complex soaked into a treat every day -- you should stand over the ducklings that are symptomatic to make sure they eat their dose. There are human vitamin B preparations -- you must buy flushable [no flush no good] but I don't know the dose.

Keep giving them Vit B daily for at least 2 weeks after the symptoms resolve. When the symptoms resolve, add nutritional yeast to their food: 1 tablespoon per cup of crumbles/pellets. Unless you are feeding duck specific feed, keep you ducks on nutritional yeast for always. You can stop the durvet or other Niacin preparation 2 weeks after symptoms resolve

It is made for laying ducks. It has all the nutrients for them
I would bet money that it does not have the nutrients they need. The reason being is that many feed mills do not have nutritionist on staff and many do not know all of the nutritional needs of ducks especially. Most mills are staffed by locals and farmers who have a “this is how we have always done it” mindset. I have looked at the label for many feed mill made feed and I did not find a single one that actually had the correct niacin amount for ducks.

A couple questions: 1. what treats do you recommend to soak in the durvet? 2. Where do I purchase durvet? Thank you so much for your feedback! I'll be checking the ingredient label on the feed to see how much vitamin b is says.
