My poor baby Blackie is missing.. no where to be found! No feathers..nothing.

My Rouen boys best friend!!
I have other ducks, but I can tell hes missing his buddy!!

Will he be okay with the other ducks??

Before it was just him and the cayuga.

my girl looked for her sister for awhile before she realized she wasn’t gonna come back though, it was super sad. people say ducks don’t notice when one of their flock is gone but they definitely do. but yes, he will be fine once he gets used to the other ducks and will be happy again.

how many males and females do you have?
I have groups.. so I have a lot more boys than I do girls.. but they are all separated I to their own little spot.
Blackie is a boy. Hes still gone.
My rouen is a boy, they were bffs.
My rouen is walking around quacking looking for his buddy. I dont know what to do for him.

Yeah I know. I feel bad for him. Will another cayuga friend make it better??
Maybe? I hear they are social and do better with a friend so I had purchased 2 but I am new at this. @Isaac 0 is a very knowledgeable person, who might have some better input?

First off, sorry to hear he's missing, that's never fun.

Waterfowl are very social animals in nature, so to answer your question, yes, another duck/s for him would be great, and would likely ease the stress of his recent loss.

I have other ducks, but my rouen just hung out with my cayuga. They were trouble makers!! Lol
