I have just hatched a Cayuga Drake cross Khaki Duck duckling and I have a few questions. Apparently they are sex linked so what should males and females look like. Also has anyone else done this cross and got any pictures of adult birds? Thanks in advance

I enjoy reading about genetics . Based on what I looked up, your cross is backwards. If your drake was the Khaki and your Cayuga was the hen, your male ducklings would be black, girls brown. The way you did it, all the ducklings should be black (maybe a little lighter on their chests). Is that what they look like?

Ahhh, my duckling is a dark brown with black legs and feet and beak but it has a yellow/white bib on its chest. Do you come across any pictures of adults during your research?

I currently have 6 cayuga x Khaki(drake) crosses they are about 5 weeks old exactly 2 black with light yellow chests and 4 brown with light yellow chests... dont mind my 5 week old welsh harlequins in the picture(also this was taken two weeks ago)
