why is cedar bad and will a tiny amount with other shavings kill them?

Cedar can cause respiratory distress in chickens. If they're in it, it's likely to be a problem. Pine shavings are a better option.

i have pine, and theres not much, but maybe a tiny bit of cedar in with it. will that be a problem? thanks
