I know you said not to use cedar shavings but, what about cedar as the structure?

It's fine to use in your construction. Just don't use cedar shavings for your deep litter. It causes resperatory problems.

AWESOME!!!!!! I Found FREE Cedar Fence sections on CL!!! Im EXCITED!!!!! We've scavenged 20 pallets so far! Free fencing sections would be PERFECT!!!!!

Thank you, I had the same question because my coop is built up against a cedar fence, and I built the chickens a better ladder out of cedar fencing remnants, so I just wanted to make sure this wouldn't be harmful to them. Thanks again!
