Celadon quail hatch. Is this normal? What did I do wrong?

I have had celadon quail hatching over the last 3 days and they all seem to have really swollen/round looking back ends. I am not sure this is normal. Is something wrong with all of them?

2 also have like an umbilical stump attached still (after 48 hours) but are otherwise eating and drinking ok. Pics below 20210707_153514.jpg 20210707_153204.jpg

What was your humidity during the in incubation period? Do you use a seperate, independent and calibrated hygrometer or were you relying on the instruments sensors? High humidity throughout the process will cause chicks to have a 'bloated' appearance.

Humidity was 40% during the first part and 70% after lockdown. Does it go away? Do I need to cull them?

70% humidity is very high. They should be fine, though. You may have one or two that simply fail to thrive, but unless the others show definite signs of being unhealthy or suffering, let them eat, run and be chicks. :)

I usually incubate mine at about 30%, then let humidity get up to about 50% during hatch.

No need to cull....it will eventually correct itself in a few days....usually!
Can't really tell much by the pic but it appears to be unabsorb yolk sac? It should dry up and fall off in a few days too!
