Celebrating a win - regular customer!

I just want to celebrate a win with people who will also understand - I've sold some eggs this week and just had someone ask that I reserve 2 dozen a week for her!! Technically she wants 3 dozen but I told her that won't be possible until my chicks are grown.

How do y'all handle the pressure that comes from a regular customer?

Also, one of my chickens was pet of the month at my work, a real business chicken (pictured)

I just feel like "omg, now I HAVE to have eggs for this person!!" which, I have more than enough but it just feels so much more present now! Also, I'll have to let her know come winter that there won't be as many.

Having a standing order makes the whole thing more real than "oh I have some extra eggs I'll just sell"

That's up to your girls to lay not you, just provide eggs as you're able, I'm sure she'll understand. :]

When I had a larger flock, I had a couple of customers that put in egg orders a couple of weeks in advance. When they were requesting 3 or 4 dozen, it was stressful! I mean what if my hens went on strike or something.

You're right - I may be the one handing them out and taking the money (to buy the sunflower seeds they snack on ) but if they don't lay, I can't control that. Although I will have to search better the times they decide to start laying in my yard - can't let it get up to 20+ eggs when I've got people waiting! I'm being unfair to the woman who placed the order, too, cause she seems very nice!

But I'm also just crazy!
