Celebrating my First Home Hatch! <3

Hello!

I dreamed of owning chickens for several years, then 13 years ago I got my first flock and dreamed of breeding but did not live in a place zoned for roosters. So I moved. Last year I had a dedicated broody but the conditions were not quite right for her and the eggs did not make it to hatch.

This year, for the first time, I got to place curated eggs beneath a lovely mama in great conditions and yesterday she hatched out 7 beautiful chicks! Out of 8 eggs, so I am delighted by this first successful experience! Just wanted to share because I am bursting, haha.

Thank you! My neighbors' birds come to my yard every day and I have watched and fed those mamas and their babes many times, but I'm delighted to finally have my own. I will soak it up!
