I was wondering if the light would affect them maturing. I knew I wouldn't get eggs for a while but was hoping to be able to tell who the roosters were. The longer I have them the more attached I will be! I also have 4 more from the 4-week-old batch that look like standard jumbo pharaohs, and I know they are for sure roosters based on their red chests. I may move them out and wait 2 weeks and combine the 4-week and 7-week together when they are the same size and see how it goes. Right now, they are in the same run with netting separating them. Those are not feather sexable, unfortunately. As the days get shorter, they become sexually mature slower. You may have to wait quite some time before they start laying or crowing unless you give them extra light (14-16 hours/day).
