Our brand new chicken coop is part of a larger shed which has a cement base/foundation. We will be using the deep litter method on the floor, but were wondering if we needed to put floor covering over the cement to keep the porous nature of cement from soaking in the residue and smell of the chicken droppings. Any thoughts?
