Cement Pad vs. Cinder blocks

I’m in between what i want to put my coop on, either a cement pad or these cinder blocks aka. deck blocks.

If you had the choice which one would you choose?

I did both on my daughters deck foundation. I set the posts on the cinder blocks and put large plastic containers that plants come in over them for forms and poured concrete in them for a larger foot print.

Deck block would be cheaper, easier and non permanent. Some County authorities get all up in arms about foundations poured without permission..

Knowing my town, i would need a permit, zoning, and the whole nine yards lol. I think i’m just going to do the deck blocks, I think it would be easier then pouring a whole concrete pad anyway

I plan on using 4x4 as posts, did you secure the wood into the blocks in anyway?

No, not at all.
