Hi guys, this is tough for me to do because these three birds are amazing birds. We've had chickens for the past 5 years, but the flock has dwindled in numbers in that time. We made a choice not to repopulate the flock as our daughters are heavily involved in activities that take us further and further from home where we cannot take care of these incredible three.

First, Buddy the Rhode Island Red Rooster. We lucked out with him. He has a fantastic temperament. He is not aggressive towards people nor our miniature schnauzers. He's curious and mindful of the hens he watches. Buddy has a smooth comb now as in early 2017 he got frostbite on his points and they fell off. He doesn't know any different and still does his rooster job of alerting the two girls if something is out of the ordinary.

Second, Buddy's BFF for life. She's a Maran and she's the wingmate for Buddy. Those two will merrily go do chicken things together -- scratching grass, eating bugs, dirt baths. She has been a great layer this year. She lays brown eggs.

Finally, is an Ameraucana that is very sweet and a resilient one. One year ago, a neighbor's dog got to her and we thought she had removed her left eye. I took care of her and over the weeks of her healing, I noticed a solid yellow mass that was in her eye socket. I removed this and her eye was still in the socket, but it is apparent that she has no vision in that eye but that doesn't stop her from doing her chicken things! She usually stays near or in the coop where she's quite content and happy. She roosts near the floor on a low roost I made from a broom handle. She lays blue eggs.

Thank you for any assistance you guys can provide to these three. As an animal lover, this is difficult for me to do but it is the responsible manner for these guys.

Thank you!

Brandon

Hey friends! This trio still needs to be rehomed in Central Ohio. Does anyone have room in their flock for them?

These guys have not been re-homed yet. Thanks for the messages from those who inquired but were much, much too far! We are still hoping someone can help these three.

They are still available. I am trying desperately to keep these three together though. I so wish you could take the roo, too
