Anyone from Central Oregon? Bend or Redmond. We are moving there in a month and I'd like to know about the difference between raising chickens there vs. Southern Cali.

I don't know the difference between raising chickens in Central Oregon vs Southern Cali but I noticed you were in my neck of the woods and just wanted to say hello! My husband and I just bought a house in La Pine but before that we were in Bend. I'm new to raising chickens so I'm hoping you got an answer to your question. This past winter was pretty mild compared to previous winters so I'm assuming that will be a huge difference but besides that not too sure.
