Changing duck nest

Since I mentioned in another thread also about ducks nesting on the ground. I want to motivate them to nest at a safer place. Now I know a good place, how do I make them lay eggs at this new place?

Try blocking off the old nest and putting some golf balls or plastic eggs in the new nest site. Hopefully they'll catch on pretty quick
