Changing feed??

We need a new feed.

Our Guineas free-range and are housed overnight in a tractor coop. We have been feeding them Dumor Organic 16% protein feed crumbles for two years. Dumor changed their formula and our Guineas are not impressed. They are not eating the feed. We live north of Nashville, it's been hot and dry, not nearly as many insects right now, and they have begun to molt. I'd like to feed them a higher protein feed, but none of our co-ops nor Tractor Supply have a high protein layer crumble. All the high protein feeds I found or that can be ordered are Starter pellets.

So my question is: What do you feed your adult Guineas??

Guineas are not laying at the moment so no need for the additional Ca. Nothing wrong with starter. If that's what you have available, feed it.

I feed my adult guineas a 20% protein All Flock with free choice oyster shell on the side.

The age old question. Lol. The conclusion I came to (insert r2elk told me) was that everything I thought sounded awesome had too much calcium for my boys. Until recently, my boys outnumbered girls, and I adore them.
I ended up getting a good all flock raiser crumble w/20% protein & less calcium and keep the side dish of os-cal as he said. It will also be a good transition for my littles, who are still working their way through 40# bag of gamebird starter.

How far north are you? I’m in Gallatin. I always get my feed from feed stores. I go up to Portland, Ruebensville feed. Love them! Only high quality feed there, and prices are good.

I like the Purina feed the best and so do my chicks.
My feed stores always run out of Purina so fast in my town, so I have to call and see if the store can hold a 50lb bag for me if they have any in stock.
